Nice...that thing is built for where you live. The good news, I fully expect to get to fish it on our annual spring trips!
Glad you and my dad made a deal. A rod that fine needs to be fished.
I appreciate the flag to your dad that prompted him to contact me. That rod doesn't belong on eBay... it belongs in The Driftless Area. And yes, you've got many hours with it in the coming years.
This is how nutty the new rig is making me: I'm willing to skip the bus and drive 2000 lbs of car to work, just so I can leave early and fish the 45 F degree afternoon tomorrow.
Streams may be razzled a bit, but if they're not too bad, may find some midges.
I'm glad you are all set up and have the reel to match! Beats putting it on Ebay when I found out you have always liked that rod!! Have fun with it!!!
