Stinging nettles, rhubarb, salmo trutta, wild onions/leeks.

Last night I did this with the nettles: steamed. Butter and salt. Indescribably good. I told the kids it was superman food. Wish we'd had about 5x as much.

Right NOW is the time (in this particular delayed year) to get them: they are tender, untouched by insects... go to it.

It's basically like spinach after steaming.

Plus it feels good to eat something that normally stings you.; 8:06 AM
