It's a sad day when Abdur-Rahim - a guy who throughout his career as a starter was a solid 20,10 and 50% from the floor - is reduced to the second man off the bench. I will contend that if given the chance to start, he still has a few good years in him. When Artest was suspended he logged 30+ minutes and dropped 27 and 9 on the Spurs. He's a80% or better FT too.

A seemingly off topic post... I made it late at night after consuming three large beers and watching Kobe and the Lakeshow get beat by the Suns. I saw the box score and cursed the Kings for keeping one of the best players out there on the bench...

i watched kobe throw up 50 last night against the suns, and watched nash put on a magnificent performance to lead phoenix to the win.

i don't buy all this "unselfish" kobe stuff. that guy is an ego maniac and you could just feel him getting ready to throw up terrible shots without regard. he is a spectacular talent, but would you want to play with him?
