Yum. I hit the vice today for some staples. Bunch of worms and some green nymphs.
Nice work, is that clariet chenille? I suppose I should get to cranking out a few carp flies.
Good call on Mothra. The likeness is there. Plus the bit about being the mightiest in all creation is right on.
Glad you guys are tying a bit. I should be doing some trout tying, but I need to go lose some flies first.
It is in fact claret chenille. Can't find it any shops (or big box shops) around here. I had to break down and order via mail. Get taken for shipping but to match the color of the best SJW, it's worth it.
Speaking of claret chenille...ran through my last batch due to winter sjw stock up. Off to river city!
What is your final verdict on the chenille: claret or wine?
I think they both work. I honestly don't remember which I prefer!
