Cloudy, windy, cool
Can't trout fish in MN which burns me a bit
So drove 58 miles one way to Iowa
On a Thursday four other cars in the lot
Rusty mediocrity ensued
Only enough fish to keep us going
Nothing more though
Really nothing remarkable about the fishing
Did keep some large RBT though (14.5" and 13.5")
Being that they are stockers
And I paid my fair share to Iowa Fisheries today
Lost one really long and skinny BNT easy into high teens
Was too eager with it popped off at arm's length
Deal today was watching Danny watch everything else
He wanted to keep all fish
He wanted to kill them himself
He carried the creel most of the day
And he slept on the way home
So I stopped talking and watched cows at pasture
Quilted countryside
Danny's report was positive
He wants to go again tomorrow
